Boomtown Belle Casino guest files slip-and-fall lawsuit

GRETNA –A woman is seeking damages in connection with an alleged slip-and-fall incident at Boomtown Belle Casino.

Cheryl Lawrence filed a lawsuit July 3 against Pinnacle Entertainment Inc., doing business as Boomtown New Orleans in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place when she was a guest at the casino on July 4, 2017. Lawrence claims she tripped and fell on an unmarked hole on casino grounds .

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. She is represented by Ryan Hughes in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius Regan.
