By Carrie Bradon | Jul 14, 2018

GRETNA – A condo association is seeking damages for a roof that was allegedly damaged and not repaired.

Metroview Condominium Association filed a lawsuit July 12 against Gerardo Gallardo, doing business as The Galla Group, and The Galla Group LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging that the defendant failed to properly complete the work on the roof.

According to the complaint, the defendant was paid to complete work on the roof in question, but, despite being paid, did not do the work to the standard that was outlined in the contract. Additionally, the condo association claims the defendant has not paid the $44,705 required to fix the roof.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. It is represented by Jerry Sullivan of Leefe, Gibbs, Sullivan & Dupré in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.
