GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages for a slip and fall in a Walmart.

Timesha Lafayette filed a suit July 16 against Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Aug. 1, 2017 when the plaintiff was shopping at the Walmart at 5110 Jefferson Highway in Harahan. The plaintiff was caused to slip and fall on a clear liquid that was left on the ground.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Pierre Gaudin of Gaudin and Gaudin in Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond Steib Jr.
