Louisiana Federal Credit Union claims it is owed $24,883 on promissory note

GRETNA – Louisiana Federal Credit Union is seeking payment of more than $24,000 allegedly due on a promissory note.

The credit union filed a lawsuit July 18 against Latetia Smith in the 24th Judicial District Court.

According to the suit, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account with a balance of $24,883.16 plus interest, claiming that the defendant has failed to pay off the sums due.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. It is represented by Joseph Mouton II of D'Aquila, Contreras & Vega.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott Schlegel.
