Bicyclist seeks damages after he was allegedly struck by a Star Cab

GRETNA – A man claims that he was struck by a cab while riding his bike.

Joshua Gillum filed a suit July 24 against First Chicago Insurance Co., Star Cabs Inc. and Jeremy T. Macon in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Feb. 11 in which the defendant was driving a cab on 2100 W. Napoleon Ave. The suit states that the plaintiff was struck while riding his bicycle due to the negligence of the defendant who was operating a cab at the time of the collision.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jerry Lassalle of the Law Offices of Edward J. Womac Jr & Associates LLC.

The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee Faulkner Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 785908.
