GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages after she fell in a Walmart.

Mechelle Tardiff filed a suit July 25 against ABC Insurance Co., Walmart Stores Inc. and John Doe in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Sept. 1, 2017 when the plaintiff was a patron in the Walmart at 1501 Manhattan Blvd. in Harvey. The plaintiff claims that she was caused to slip and fall on a dangerous condition that had been left on the ground and not marked.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Anthony Irpino in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy Miller.
