GRETNA – Delgado Community College is seeking more than $800 allegedly owed by a former student.
The Louisiana Community and Technical College System, through Delgado Community College, filed a lawsuit July 26 against Johquissa Rochelle Peabody in the 24th Judicial District Court.
According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account with a balance of $826.51, plus interest of 33.33%, claiming that the defendant failed to pay for attending the school.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. It is represented by Kaila Hutchison of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry Sullivan Jr.
