University of New Orleans seeks payment of $4,266 from former student

NEW ORLEANS – The University of New Orleans is seeking more than $4,200 allegedly due from a former student.

The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors, through the University of New Orleans, filed a lawsuit July 20 against Aryn Bernard in Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account with a balance of $4,266, plus interest, alleging that the defendant has failed to pay off the amount due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney's fees and all appropriate relief. It is represented by attorney Scott Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel Julien.
