Delgado Community College claims former student owes $2,888

NEW ORLEANS – A community college is seeking payment of nearly $3,000 allegedly owed by a former student.

The Louisiana Community and Technical College System, through Delgado Community College, filed a lawsuit July 18 against Tatiana Renee Jacques in Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the complaint, Jacques' open account has an unpaid balance of $2,887.50, plus interest, and she has failed to pay off the amount due.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney's fees and all appropriate relief. It is represented by Amy Richard of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge D. Nicole Sheppard.
