Louisiana State University seeks over $6,500 on unpaid balance

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking more than $6,000.

Louisiana State University Board of Supervisors through Louisiana State University filed a lawsuit July 23 against Chelsie Jovan Daughter in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an unpaid balance of $6,500.74 plus interest, claiming that the defendant has failed to pay the sums due. The defendant is accused of open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Scott Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge. 

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette Irons.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2018-7264.
