Delgado Community College seeks over $1,000 on open account

NEW ORLEANS – A community college is seeking more than $1,000 in sums due.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through Delgado Community College filed a lawsuit July 23 against Michael Rene Carbo in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an unpaid balance of more than $1,000, alleging that the defendant has been negligent in paying off the balance of $843.08 plus interest of 33.33 percent.

The defendant is accused of open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Scott Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette Irons.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2018-7262.
