Delgado Community College claims former student owes over $1,000

NEW ORLEANS – A community college is seeking sums due.

Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a lawsuit July 23 against Christopher Anthony Rankins in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due. 

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account in the balance of $710.00 plus interest of 33.33 percent totaling more than $1,000, alleging that the defendant has failed to pay off the sums due.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Kaila Hutchison of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Nakisha Ervin-Knott.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2018-7258.
