Delgado Community College claims former student owes over $1,000

NEW ORLEANS – A community college is seeking more than $1,000 in sums due.

NEW ORLEANS – A community college is seeking more than $1,000 in sums due.

Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a lawsuit July 25 against Mark D. Magee in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due in the balance of $989.79 plus interest, alleging that the defendant has failed to pay off the sums due plus 33.33 percent interest.

The defendant is accused of open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Kaila Hutchison of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge D. Nicole Sheppard.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2018-7378.
