State of Louisiana seeks repayment of $30,000 in grant funds

GRETNA – The State of Louisiana is seeking repayment of $30,000 in grant funds provided to a resident.

The State of Louisiana Division of Administration Office of Community Development filed a lawsuit July 30 against Regina Lussier in the 24th Judicial District Court.

According to the claim, Lussier must repay the state-provided funds because she did comply with a provision requiring her to submit elevation documents.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. It is represented by Mary Catherine Cali of Shows, Cali & Walsh LLP in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius Regan.
