NEW ORLEANS – Delgado Community College claims it is owed more than $700 by a former student.
The Louisiana Community and Technical College System, through Delgado Community College, filed a lawsuit July 27 against Shontasia Badon in Orleans Parish Civil District Court.
According to the complaint, the defendant's account has an outstanding balance of $727.50 plus interest of 33.33 percent.
The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney's fees and all appropriate relief. It is represented by attorney Scott Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel Julien.
