Louisiana Disaster Recovery Unit files lawsuit claiming misuse of grant

GRETNA – The State of Louisiana has filed a lawsuit seeking more than $95,000 in alleged sums due.

The State of Louisiana Division of Administration Office of Community Development Disaster Recovery Unit filed a suit Aug. 18 against Stacie Marie Grace in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging sums due.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident which took place when the defendant misused a grant that was given by the state. The plaintiff is seeking payment of $95,430 to reimburse the sums due.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by John Walsh of Shows, Cali & Walsh LLP in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John Molaison Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 786575.
