State files for damages stemming from drug possession

GRETNA – The state of Louisiana is seeking civil damages for possession of an illegal substance.

The State of Louisiana filed a suit July 20 against Dominique Buckley in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging possession of an illegal substance.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place in which the plaintiff discovered 22 grams of marijuana on the plaintiff's property.

The defendant is accused of possession of an illegal substance.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by David Wheeler in Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen Grefer.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 785814.
