Ochsner Clinic Foundation sued after alleged trip-and-fall accident

GRETNA – A plaintiff is seeking damages from Ochsner Clinic Foundation, claiming she tripped and fell on a staircase inside the atrium at 1514 Jefferson Highway.

Darnell Terral filed the lawsuit on July 26 against Ochsner Clinic Foundation, in the 24th Judicial District Court, seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on June 23, 2016. The plaintiff is claiming injuries after her sandal was allegedly caught in a crack in the staircase inside the atrium.

The plaintiff claims she fell forward on her right side, suffering injuries.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jim S. Hall in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.
