NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims she seriously injured her leg after stepping into a hole in the ground at 237 Mandeville St., New Orleans.
Tyra Cortez filed a lawsuit on Aug. 14 against Michael Braverman and ABC Insurance Co. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging negligence. She claims Braverman failed to maintain the property.
The plaintiff allegedly was injured on Jan. 3, when she fell and injured her leg. The accident required surgery, according to the complaint.
The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Timothy D. Richardson of the Richardson Law Group LLC in Madisonville.
The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Nakisha Ervin-Knott.
