Capital One is seeking more than $755,000

NEW ORLEANS – Capital One claims that it is owed more than $755,000.

Capital One filed a lawsuit Aug. 9 against Daniel C. Taylor, independent administrator for the succession of Malcolm Petal, and the United States of America in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an unpaid balance on a loan in the amount of $755,606.91 plus interest, alleging that the defendant was negligent.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Jason Smith of Dean Morris LLC in Monroe.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Nakisha Ervin-Knott.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2018-7895.
