Man files lawsuit following a slip and fall at Walmart

GRETNA – A man is seeking damages after he says he was caused to slip and fall in a Walmart.

Edward Hester filed a suit Aug. 22 against Walmart Louisiana LLC and Walmart Stores Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Nov. 30, 2017 when the plaintiff was at the Walmart at 4810 Lapalco Blvd. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall on a puddle water on the ground.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jason Giles of The King Firm LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John Molaison Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 786911.
