GRETNA –– A woman accuses a Sketchers Factory Outlet store of negligence after she slipped and fell.
Yvette Coler filed a complaint on Aug. 22 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Skechers USA, the parent company of the Skechers Factory Outlet in Harvey.
According to the complaint, the store did not have a door mat and the floor became slippery after a rainstorm. Coler slipped on the standing water and fell, the complaint states.
Coler seeks all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. She is represented by Jonathan P. Friedman of Silbert, Garon, Pitre & Friedman in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
