LUGENBUHL WHEATON PECK RANKING & HUBBARD: Lugenbuhl Shareholder Ashley Belleau Receives Federal Bar Association Honors

Lugenbuhl, Wheaton, Peck, Rankin & Hubbard issued the following announcement on Aug. 20.

Lugenbuhl is proud to announce that shareholder Ashley Belleau has been honored with the Jack Martzell Professionalism Award by the New Orleans chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Named for the late New Orleans attorney John R. “Jack” Martzell, the annual award recognizes the attorney who best exemplifies outstanding professionalism in the practice of law.

Ashley is a seasoned litigator who advises businesses and individuals concerning bankruptcies, class actions, contracts, construction, fidelity, surety and financial institution bonds, insurance, professional malpractice, real estate, corporate and estate and trust. In addition to her litigation practice, she mediates and arbitrates securities and business disputes for FINRA and the American Arbitration Association, serving on its Construction Panel and Commercial Panel.

Among her numerous honors, Ashley was named one of the Top 25 Women Louisiana Super Lawyers for 2018, and she has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America© and as a Recognised Practitioner by Chambers & Partners in its commercial litigation category. She was also selected for fellowship in the Litigation Counsel of America, the trial lawyer honorary society, and listed on the Martindale Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers. Ashley’s accolades have earned her spots in the New Orleans CityBusiness 2012 Women of the Year and 2016 Leadership in Law classes.

Ashley has dedicated countless hours to the law and service of the legal profession. She served as the 83rd national president of the Federal Bar Association (2010-2011), and also as the FBA’s general counsel. Ashley is currently the FBA Delegate to the American Bar Association House of Delegates and serves in the Louisiana State Bar Association, House of Delegates.

She will be recognized at the FBA New Orleans Chapter’s Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon on Thursday, Aug. 23 at the InterContinental New Orleans.
