GRETNA –– An anonymous email prompted a vet clinic to pursue litigation.
Crescent City Veterinary Specialists LLC filed a complaint on Aug. 23 in the 24th Judicial District Court.against "Jane Doe," an unidentified person.
According to the complaint, an anonymous person sent an email to the vet's website accusing the veternarian of giving away narcotics from the clinic and threatened to tell others. Plaintiff seeks the identity of the person and damages for the defamatory email.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Tracy Rotharmel Shanks of Rotharmel Shanks LLC in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division C Judge June Berry Darensburg.
