Man seeks damages after his car was damaged by a large pothole

GRETNA – A man is seeking damages after his vehicle was damaged by a large pothole.

Jimmy Belle filed a complaint on Aug. 31 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Ochsner Baptist Medical Center LLC, Broadmoor Construction & Design Inc., and John Smith Construction.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Sept. 2, 2017 on Betz Avenue near Ochsner Baptist Medical Center, when the plaintiff was caused to hit a large pothole and had to be pulled out of the pothole by a wrecker. The defendant is allegedly guilty of negligence for failing to repair the road.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Joseph McMahon III in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Glenn Ansardi.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 787214.
