Man claims he had seizures after Walgreens incorrectly filled prescription

GRETNA – A man is seeking damages after he allegedly received an incorrect prescription.

Matthew A. Tillman filed a complaint on Sept. 11 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Walgreens Inc.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on March 23, when the plaintiff was a patient of Dr. Robert Brousse. The plaintiff's doctor ordered a prescription for a medication that was sent to Walgreens. The suit states that the plaintiff took the medication, unaware of the fact that it was the wrong medication as the defendant had filled the prescription in incorrectly. The plaintiff was caused to suffer from seizures and other extreme health complications due to the defendant's negligence.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by J. Michael Daly in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond Steib Jr.
