TJ Maxx sued by shopper claiming she fell inside New Orleans store

NEW ORLEANS – Gail Grant filed a complaint on Sept. 10, in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, against TJ Maxx, the TJX Cos. Inc. and ABC Insurance Co., alleging she slipped and fell while shopping at the retail store on Holiday Drive in New Orleans.

The plaintiff alleges she fell down in the store on Sept. 24, suffering serious injuries. Grant alleges she slipped on "an unreasonably dangerously wet and excessively slippery floor" inside the store. She is accusing the store of negligence in the accident.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney R. Christine Bonin of Bonin Law in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Nakisha Ervin-Knott.
