Used tire store did not pay tire fees, state agency says

GRETNA –The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality claims a used tire store did not pay required waste tire fees.

The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality filed a complaint on Sept. 14 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Chi Que Tran, who owns Hugo Used Tires LLC.

According to the complaint, the tire store did not pay waste tire fees to the state for more than three years. The defendant owes more than $18,170.51 and may face penalties.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Gail C. Holland of the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Stephen D. Enright Jr.
