Homeowners did not comply with disaster grant, state agency says

GRETNA –– The state's disaster agency seeks more than $50,000 from two residents over an earlier grant.

The Louisiana Division of Administration Office of Community Development Disaster Recovery Unit filed a complaint on Sept. 17 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Steven Lutz and Anne Lutz.

According to the complaint, the homeowners did not comply with a  disaster recovery grant. The plaintiff alleges the homeowners owe $51,556.00, plus interest.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by John C. Walsh of Shows, Cali & Walsh LLP in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.
