Alleged $34,000 debt prompts lawsuit against couple

GRETNA –– A Jefferson Parish couple faces a lawsuit over an alleged debt of more than $34,000.

Lowe, Stein, Hoffman, Allweiss & Hauver LLP filed a complaint on Sept. 19 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Alexis Barbe and Marc Barbe.

According to the complaint, the defendant owes an outstanding balance of $34,713.48, plus interest.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Gerald Wasserman in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.
