GRETNA –– A Jefferson Parish man's alleged credit card debt prompted a lawsuit from a bank.
Discover Bank filed a complaint on Sept. 24 in the 24th Judicial District Court against James L. Shirah.
According to the complaint, the defendant failed to pay an outstanding balance of $7,096.86 plus interest.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jeffrey M. Toepfer of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in Metairie.
The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott U. Schlegel.
