John Ehret High School teacher assaulted student, mother says

GRETNA –– The mother of a high school student accuses a teacher of hitting her son.

Kendrica Robinson, individually and on behalf of her minor son, filed a complaint on Sept. 25 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Brandon Hodges, a teacher, and Jefferson Parish School Board/System.

According to the complaint, Hodges hit plaintiff's son at John Ehret High School during an altercation in November 2017. 

A video was later posted on YouTube, which caused distress and embarrassment to the plaintiff's minor son. Hodges is accused of assault and the school system faces a negligence claim.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Suzette P. Bagneris of The Bagniers Firm LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.
