University of New Orleans pursues student for alleged debt

NEW ORLEANS –– A student faces a lawsuit from the University of New Orleans over an alleged $2,100 debt.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through University of New Orleans filed a complaint on Sept. 17 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Katherine G. Gunnell.

According to the complaint, the defendant failed to pay an outstanding balance of $2,183.00 plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Amy D. Richard of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso
