NEW ORLEANS –– A community college is pursuing a student for less than $1,000 in alleged debt.
Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a complaint on Sept. 24 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Ebony Kaneisha Keelen.
According to the complaint, the defendant failed to pay an outstanding balance of $754.13 plus judicial interest of 33.33 percent.
The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Amy D. Richard of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
