GRETNA – A couple is seeking damages for damaged sewage lines.

Mike Hymel and Nanette Hymel filed a complaint on Sept. 24 in the 24th Judicial District Court against National Economy Plumbers Inc., dba Mr. Rooter Plumbing.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place when the defendant was hired in April 2009 to do repairs to the plaintiff's home at 20 Elaine Ave., Harahan. The suit states the plaintiff suffered plumbing issues following the defendants' work, which was discovered in July 2018, with damaged sewage lines.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Joseph McMahon III in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry Sullivan Jr.
