Family alleges father's fall was the fault of Save-A-Lot

GRETNA – A family is seeking damages after the father slipped and fell.

Hyman C. Sterling and Olivia Bass individually and on behalf of their minor children filed a complaint on Oct. 2 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Moran Foods LLC, dba Save-A-Lot.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Oct. 6, 2017 when the plaintiff and his family were at the Save-A-Lot at 601 Terry Parkway in Gretna. The plaintiff was caused to slip and fall on a clear substance that had been left on the ground.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Kelly Rizzo of the Law Offices of John W. Redmann LLC in Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy Miller.
