Plaintiff says she sustained bug bites while working for Amtrak

NEW ORLEANS – A woman is seeking damages after she sustained injury while working for Amtrak.

Alicia Edwards filed a complaint on Sept. 27 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against National Railroad Passenger Corp., dba Amtrak.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Dec. 8, 2016 when the plaintiff was working on an Amtrak train. The suit states that the defendant was negligent, which resulted in the plaintiff having bug bites all over her body, resulting in injury.


The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney C. Perrin Rome III of Rome, Arata, Baxley & Stelly LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Melvin Zeno.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 18-9732.
