Community college goes after student for alleged debt

GRETNA –– A student faces a lawsuit from a community college over an alleged $2,200 debt.

Louisiana Community and Technical College System, through Delgado Community College, filed a complaint on Sept. 28 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Scott Norman.

According to the complaint, the defendant failed to pay an outstanding balance of $2,204.52 plus interest.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Kaila M. Hutchison of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.
