Patient claims Ocean's Behavioral Hospital staff mistreated her broken wrist

GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages, alleging she received improper treatment.

Sheila Hodge filed a complaint on Oct. 17 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Ocean's Behavioral Hospital of Greater New Orleans.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place after the plaintiff fell on Oct.19, 2017. The suit states the plaintiff was seeking medical attention from the defendant and was improperly diagnosed, resulting in a delay in treatment for her broken wrist.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by C.E. Bourg II in Morgan City.

The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee Faulkner Jr.
