Woman claims she was denied dialysis treatment

GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages after she claims dialysis was not administered in a timely manner.

Caryl Eager filed a complaint on Oct. 26 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Total Renal Care Inc., dba Davita.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Oct. 31, 2017 when the plaintiff was admitted to West Jefferson Medical Center. The suit states the defendant was negligent in failing to administer dialysis in a timely manner.

The defendant is accused of medical malpractice and negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by David Bowling of The Bowling Law Firm in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy Miller.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 788943.
