Freedom Mortgage seeks over $149,000 on loan in default

GRETNA – A corporation is seeking more than $149,000 in sums due on a mortgage.

Freedom Mortgage Corp. filed a complaint on Nov. 2 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Jose Antonio Padilla Portillo. 

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due in the balance of $149,566 plus interest, alleging that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance due.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an executory process.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Rader Jackson of Jackson & McPherson LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius Regan.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 789208.
