Motorist sues after collision on I-10

GRETNA – Toya Jackson filed a complaint on Nov. 9 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Delta Wholesale Trading Corp. II and Jose Tejada.

The plaintiff is seeking damages for an alleged incident on June 13 when the plaintiff's Mazda was rear-ended on I-10 by the defendant's Jeep, which suddenly changed lanes and plowed into the Mazda, according to court documents.

Jackson claims injuries in the accident that are allegedly psychological and emotional in nature, and for which she still requires treatment, according to court documents.

The defendants are accused of negligence. The driver is blamed for acting in a reckless and inattentive manner that allegedly led to the accident. Wholesale Trading is accused of failing to train its drivers adequately.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. 

The plaintiff is represented by John B. Noble of Michael Hingle & Associates in Slidell.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib. Jr.
