University of New Orleans seeks more than $1,000

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking more than $1,000.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through University of New Orleans filed a complaint on Nov. 2 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Cody F. Cox.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for the balance of $1,060.75 plus interest, alleging that the defendant failed to pay off the balance due.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Scott Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper Griffin.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2018-11068.
