Woman seeks damages for injuries allegedly sustained in Ochsner Clinic elevator

GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages alleging she was injured at a clinic.

Deanna Boudreaux filed a complaint on Nov. 14 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Ochsner Clinic Foundation.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Aug. 27 when the plaintiff was at the defendant's property having a surgery conducted. The suit states the defendant was negligent in caring for the plaintiff when they brought the plaintiff's stretcher into the elevator and the elevator malfunctioned, jolting the patient and causing injuries in the plaintiff's neck and head.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by C. Arlen Braud II of Brand & Gallagher LLC in Mandeville.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius Regan.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 789503.
