Driver injured after airbag deploys in Mercedes

GRETNA –  Brandy Kuhn filed a complaint on Nov. 14 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Mercedes-Benz of New Orleans and ABC Insurance Co.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident on Nov. 15, 2017. The plaintiff was involved in an accident and the airbags deployed. The plaintiff was sprayed with shrapnel and was caused to suffer burns throughout her body, due to a manufacturer's malfunction in the vehicle. 

The plaintiff alleges that the damages were not only to her body but also impacted her mentally and made her unable to continue in her career as a nurse practitioner.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by J. Michael Daly Jr. in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee V. Faulkner Jr.
