Shopper sues Walmart after allegedly falling down

NEW ORLEANS – Craig Miller filed a complaint on Nov. 9 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Walmart Associates Inc.

The plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident on July 18, when he was shopping at the store while pushing his step-father in a wheelchair. The plaintiff allegedly slipped on a slick substance on the floor and fell, injuring himself. The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney's fees and appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Dwayne Burrell in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
