Discover Bank sues for more than $5,000

GRETNA – Discover Bank filed a complaint on Nov. 2 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Catherine M. Musmeci, seeking more than $5,000 in damages.

The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance of $5,244.49 plus interest to the plaintiff. Additionally, the plaintiff claims that amicable demand was also made but that the defendant has still failed to pay the sums owed. The defendant is accused of sums due on an open account to Discover Bank.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Paul S. Brennan of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
