Woman alleges Walgreens' sliding doors injured her

GRETNA –– A Walgreens in Harvey faces a lawsuit over alleged injuries caused by sliding doors.

Veronica Paige filed a complaint on Nov. 12 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Walgreens Louisiana Co. Inc. and Sedgwick Claims Management Services Inc.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was walking into the store through the sliding doors when the door closed on the plaintiff's left shoulder and chest, resulting in injuries. The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Eve S. Reardon of Reardon Law Firm in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
