Asset management company seeks more than $83,000 on student loan debt

GRETNA – An asset management company is seeking more than $83,000.

U.S. Asset Management Inc., successory to Sallie Mae Bank, filed a complaint on Nov. 20 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Joseph Vinson.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due $71,555.11 plus interest, alleging the defendant has failed to pay off the balance due despite amicable demand from the plaintiff the defendant has still remained negligent in the balance due. The defendant also owes $11,514.99 in interest.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Edward Bourdeau in Lafayette.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle Taylor.
