Credit union claims it is owed over $5,600

NEW ORLEANS – A credit union is seeking more than $5,600.

Riverland Federal Credit Union filed a complaint on Nov. 15 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Francida B. Moore and Keith A. Moore.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on a promissory note. The suit states the defendant has remained negligent in the balance due, despite amicable demands from the plaintiff. The defendant is indebted to the plaintiff in the balance of $5,691.73 plus interest of 13 percent per year.

The defendant is accused of sums due on a promissory note.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Sean Dawson of Stephenson, Chavarri & Dawson LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper Griffin.
